Function

Function description: PICO-101 is compact monochrome keypad HMI manufactured by Fives Group (Giddings & Lewis). It connects directly to PIC900 CNC controller via serial port. Machine operators use membrane keys to jog axes, check machine fault alarms, adjust CNC parameters and view running status. Front panel IP65 rating provides protection against workshop dust and coolant splashing. It is legacy compact operator display spare for heavy CNC boring mills.

Installation

Installation steps: Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off 24VDC panel power. Insert PICO-101 into cabinet cutout and lock mounting clips. Wire 24VDC power cable and RS232/RS422 serial communication cable to PIC900 CNC controller. Download HMI screen project via Fives proprietary programming software. Restore power, verify POWER and COM LED indicators, test LCD display and keypad operation.
