Eaton RFT9739D4SUAEZ Variable Frequency Drive Unit

Module Feature

RFT9739D4SUAEZ belongs to Eaton RFT heavy-duty variable frequency drive series. It adopts high-performance IGBT power module, supporting V/F control and sensorless vector control. Built-in EMC filter suppresses electromagnetic interference; integrated dynamic braking circuit handles regenerative energy during rapid deceleration. Digital control board supports multiple analog and digital I/O signals, and standard Modbus RTU communication interface for PLC network connection. The metal enclosure with built-in cooling fan is designed for continuous heavy-load operation. Widely applied in mining equipment, material handling conveyors, water pumps, industrial fans and other heavy-duty industrial motor speed control occasions.

Working principle

AC mains power is rectified into DC voltage by rectifier bridge. IGBT inverter converts DC voltage to AC with adjustable frequency and voltage. By changing output frequency to adjust motor rotating speed. When motor decelerates, regenerative energy flows back to DC bus, and braking resistor consumes excess energy to prevent overvoltage trip.

Installation

Follow strict ESD and high voltage safety procedure before handling.Mount the drive vertically in control cabinet and reserve ventilation space.Connect main power cable and motor cable to terminals, set motor parameters according to motor nameplate before commissioning.

Diagnostic
