Module Feature

KPRL4KDT belongs to Eaton Cutler-Hammer PRL4 panel accessory series. It is a complete twin mount connection hardware kit designed for K-frame circuit breakers (DK, KD, KDB, HKD, KDC). Rated 400A, 600VAC, three-phase application. Package includes copper bus connectors, mounting brackets, insulating deadfront cover, fastening hardware and installation instructions. This kit allows two K-frame breakers to be installed side-by-side inside PRL4 panelboard for power distribution branch circuits. Widely used for industrial and commercial building electrical panel retrofitting and new cabinet assembly.

Working principle

The copper connectors establish electrical connection between panel main bus and twin breakers. Metal brackets provide mechanical support and positioning, insulating deadfront cover prevents accidental contact with live conductive parts. It realizes mechanical fixing and power distribution connection for dual breakers in one panel compartment. No electronic components.

LED indicators

Hardware self-diagnosis

Installation

Follow strict high voltage safety procedure before handling.Install brackets inside PRL4 panel, mount twin breakers and connect copper conductors.Torque all electrical connection bolts to specified value, fit deadfront cover before power energizing.

Diagnostic

Copper connector overheating: insufficient bolt torque or poor contact surface. Insulation cover cracked: risk of accidental contact with live parts. Bracket deformed: causes breaker misalignment and vibration.
