Banner 15ERM Photoelectric Emitter Unit

Module Feature

15ERM belongs to Banner Mini-Beam series opposed photoelectric sensor. It is the emitter unit and must work together with corresponding receiver. Compact plastic housing, infrared light source, built-in reverse polarity protection. Widely used for material presence detection, part counting and conveyor object sensing.

Working principle

The emitter continuously transmits infrared light beam toward receiver. When workpiece breaks the light beam, the receiver outputs switching signal to PLC for logic judgment.

Infrared LED, drive PCB circuit, plastic housing, mounting holes, 4-pin M12 connector.

Power status LED.

Power supply check, LED health monitoring, wiring continuity inspection.

Installation

Follow strict safety procedure before handling. Install emitter and receiver on two opposite sides, align optical axis. Connect power cable to M12 connector, test beam blocking function before commissioning.

M12 quick-disconnect connector, mounting slot holes.

Diagnostic

No beam output: power missing or LED burnout. Unstable signal: optical axis misalignment or dust on lens.
