Products Description
Allen‑Bradley T9431 AADvance Analog Input Module Unit

Module Feature
T9431 is Allen‑Bradley (ICS Triplex) AADvance series safety analog input module, with 8 isolated analog input channels, mainly used to collect 4-20mA field instrument signals.
Each channel provides independent isolation circuit, which can prevent field side interference and fault from spreading to the safety controller backplane. It supports multi-range signal configuration and rich channel diagnosis including wire break, short circuit and out-of-range detection. The module complies with SIL2 safety specification and must be matched with AADvance T9110 processor and T9300 I/O base to form a complete safety control station. Widely used in petrochemical, power and boiler safety interlock systems.
Working principle
Field analog current signal enters the module through terminal base. The signal conditioning and AD conversion circuit convert analog quantity into digital value, and transmit the data to AADvance main processor via backplane bus.
The module continuously monitors the health status of each channel. Once abnormal signal is detected, it marks the fault and uploads alarm information to the safety controller for safety logic judgment and interlock action.
Onboard components
Signal isolation circuit, multi-channel AD sampling chip, local diagnostic logic circuit, backplane communication interface, front panel status LED array, module power management circuit.
LED indicators
Front panel LED indicators for module power, communication status and each individual channel fault status.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Self-diagnosis covers backplane power abnormality, communication link fault, channel open circuit, channel short circuit, signal over-range and internal hardware error. Fault information is recorded and uploaded to AADvance Workbench.
Programming software
AADvance Workbench software for channel range configuration, safety logic programming, fault log viewing and module firmware upgrade.
