It converts DC bus power into three-phase AC power to drive permanent magnet brushless servo motors, reads encoder feedback signal to realize high precision closed-loop control of speed and position. The integrated brake chopper handles regenerative energy during axis deceleration. It is legacy digital servo drive spare for heavy G&L CNC boring mills.

Installation

Installation steps: Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Disconnect 460V main AC power and 24VDC control power. Mount MMC-SD-4.0-460-D vertically on cabinet backplate. Wire three-phase AC input, shielded motor power cable, differential encoder cable and SERCOS fiber loop. Configure motor parameters and servo gains via PiCPro. Run drive self-test and verify axis jog, homing and positioning performance.
