FunctionDSM030 is Centurion Micro DSM servo drive manufactured by Giddings & Lewis. It is single-axis compact servo amplifier for PiC900 CNC system. It accepts motion commands via SERCOS optical fiber ring or ±10V analog signal, regulates output current to drive brushless servo motor, and reads encoder feedback to build closed-loop servo control. It is designed for medium power feed axes on heavy CNC boring mills.

InstallationFollow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Disconnect main AC power and 24VDC control power. Mount DSM030 on cabinet backplate. Connect AC power cable, shielded motor power cable, encoder feedback cable and SERCOS/analog command cable. Configure motor parameters and servo gain via PiCPro, run drive self-test and perform axis homing and positioning test.
